Pressure Vessel ?
The vessel is a kind of storage tanks. In general, a large-scaled storage container is called the tank while a small-scaled storage container is called the vessel. A storage facility, storing gas contents using high pressure, is especially called the pressure vessel.
In general, this type of vessel is designed and manufactured to endure high pressure for storage, reaction and separation of gasified contents at chemical plants, which is called the reactor or the drum (separator, holder accumulator, etc.) in the field. (over 10kg/§²g for Pressure Gas and over 2 kg/§²g for Liquefied Gas)

Selecting Design Data
a. L/D Ratio
Normal Case: 1.5 < L/D < 5.0
50 ~ 600 psi : 3.0 < L/D < 4.0
600 psi : 4.0 < L/D < 5.0
Storage Tank : API 650, API
b.Selecting Head
10% Dished Head: Diameter of Container¡´ 15ft and Pressure ¡Â 100psi
2:1 Elliptical Head: Diameter of Container¡´ 15ft and Pressure ¡Ă 100psi
Hemispherical Head : In case diameter is 15ft or larger regardless of pressure
c. Selecting Liquid Level
: To be selected considering operational flexibility required for purpose of process and enough time for response to emergent situation.
High Level: 3min ¡ 5min (Process Control: 2min ¡ 3min, Device Protection: 1min ¡ 2min)
Low Level: 1min ¡ 2min (Device Protection: 1min ¡ 2min
Minimum Gap between High Level and Low Level: 14 inches
